What are the floor coatings made of?

We use industrial polymers of many different chemical formulations. Some polymers are chosen for their unique abilities to adhere to concrete, some polymers are selected to maintain a high gloss finish and protect against chemicals and other stains.

What type of flooring will you use on my garage?

The existing concrete garage floor will have to be examined to asses the type of concrete and the amount of repairs needed to be performed. The needs of the home owner will be taken into consideration when selecting the right system as well. Not every type of concrete can be coated with just one flooring system. We use our experience when determining the coating system that will permanently bond to the concrete and last for years to come.

How long will my garage floor coating last?

We warranty our floor coatings for five years but you can expect 10-15+ years out of your garage floor. As long as the floor is maintained properly and is bonded to structurally sound concrete the coating system can last as long as the concrete.

Why would I need to get my garage floor finished?

Simply, it just looks good. The unique look of granite and the finish and feel is a nice touch to an otherwise unfinished part of the house. Unsealed concrete is cracked, damaged and constantly damp and dusty. Once the concrete is sealed with our coating systems the cracks are repaired and the sealed floor is now completely water proof and safe from the eroding effects of water and road salts. With a finished garage floor valuable square feet are added back to an otherwise avoided place in the home. A simple rinse and a squeegee dry is all that is needed to keep the garage a clean and useful space.

Can my garage floor be done in one day?

No! We take our time during the installation of any coating system and are not rushed to complete any job by cutting corners. The preparation of the concrete is a vital process when ensuring a permanent bond between the coating system and the existing concrete. We shot blast and grind every square inch of the garage floor and when combined with doing surface repairs, this process alone can take a full day of work.

My Garage has areas where water pools, can that be fixed?

Yes. We can address leveling issues once we have had a chance to assess the floor and have determined where the high and low spots are located. We have a few different ways of dealing with these problems and can discuss these options during a consultation visit.

My garage floor is in very bad condition, can anything be done to save the concrete?

Yes. We are experts in large scale concrete repairs. Major repairs have an additional cost but compared to removal and replacing with new concrete, repairing and coating an existing slab is a very economic alternative. We have an impressive portfolio of completed jobs which required serious repairs and all have turned out looking brand new.

Does my garage floor coating have a warranty?

Yes. All work is back by a five year warranty which covers against peeling or de-lamination, and any material or installation defects. We can only warranty concrete which we feel is structurally sound free of persistent moisture transmission.
