We do a couple garage builds a year and this one was the biggest and most involved build project to date. We designed a truly unique and custom shop along with these wonderful home owners.
The planning and design process included a full set of construction plans and all development and build permits with the MD of Rocky View. An engineered concrete slab was the start and foundation to this build. Stucco and cedar shingle roofing would finish off the exterior and match the existing house. The interior of this garage was full of light with lots of windows and LED light fixtures. The ceiling was vaulted in the majority of the garage and also transformed into a storage loft area to one side. Plenty of outlets and a couple 220V receptacles supplied power to every corner of the garage. We installed an oversized 8’x18′ garage door with a side drive motor that tracked tight to the ceiling to allow for unobstructed overhead space in the parking bays. We hung a 15′ Calcana radiant heater from the ceiling to keep the space warm in the winter. The bare concrete floor was finished with solid Gray Armortech resin coating which truly made this build a custom work shop!
